Kennington Upholstery works with interior designers, decorators, architects and hospitality teams who need reliable upholstery craft, clear communication and a Central London workshop that can handle both one-off pieces and multi-item projects.

What We Can Make

  • Reupholstery for sofas, armchairs, dining chairs and ottomans
  • Bespoke upholstered headboards, banquettes and window seats
  • COM and COL fabric handling with clear fabric quantity guidance
  • Commercial seating for restaurants, hotels, offices and members clubs
  • Frame repairs, spring work, cushion replacement and traditional restoration
  • London collection and delivery for private homes and commercial sites

Designer-Friendly Details

We can work from mood boards, site photographs, measured drawings or an existing piece. If a fabric has already been specified, we advise on suitability, direction, repeat, rub count and fire treatment before cutting begins.

For COM and COL projects, we confirm required meterage, check goods on arrival and flag visible defects before upholstery work starts. For hospitality or contract work, we advise where barrier cloth, FR foam or Crib 5 documentation is required.

How Trade Projects Run

01

Brief

Send drawings, dimensions, site photos or furniture images. We confirm what is possible, flag practical risks and advise on fabric suitability.

02

Quote

We price labour, materials, collection, delivery and any fire-compliance requirements before work starts.

03

Workshop

Pieces are stripped, repaired, padded and upholstered in our Central London workshop by our own upholsterers.

04

Install

Finished work is checked, protected for transport and returned to site with documentation where required.

Residential and Commercial Work

Residential projects often need a sympathetic approach to inherited pieces, antiques and family furniture. Commercial projects need robust materials, repeatable construction and clean scheduling. We handle both, and we keep the workshop conversation practical so your client receives a finished piece that works in the room, not only in a specification.

If you need a partner for upholstered headboards, banquettes, dining chairs, lounge chairs, footstools or furniture restoration, send the brief and we will come back with the questions that need answering before a reliable quote can be issued.
